Evalan nominated for the Dutch Innovation Award 2023

Evalan is one of 5 companies nominated for the Dutch Innovation Award 2023, an initiative of the University of Amsterdam.

Evalan is one of 5 companies nominated for the Dutch Innovation Award 2023. This award is an initiative of the University of Amsterdam. It results from a large scale survey that is performed each year to research innovation in The Netherlands.

The award focuses on innovation impact, and recognizes the contributions that the nominated companies have made to sustainability, energy transition, healthcare and other areas that matter to society. More information about this nomination can be found here: Universiteit van Amsterdam.

Evalan’s BACE IoT Platform is one of the innovations that the jury identified in its selection report. BACE is a versatile plug-and-play IoT connector that enables fast implementation of remote monitoring and SCADA solutions. This is relevant, for example in managing the electricity grid and optimizing energy use at sites. Use cases such as curtailment, peak shaving, battery use optimization and adherence to feed-in limits all contribute to reducing grid congestion. With BACE these functions can be easily implemented in solar power facilities, and expanded with add-ons like smart power management to reduce costs
